A litter-free community increases property values, helps reduce crime, and attracts tourists and business.

Clean Streets represents an effort with both residents and local businesses to create a cleaner, healthier and safer Cal Heights.

We began this program in August 2009 and invite any interested volunteers to join us! Bags and plastic gloves will
be supplied.

Clean ups are every Thursday morning at 8:30 am and usually last until 10 am. We pick up on the more busy Cal Heights perimeter streets; Atlantic, Wardlow and Cherry.

Every Thursday we meet at north east corner of Atlantic and Wardlow (in front of the EZ Lube).

The schedule is:

1st Thursday of the month pick up Atlantic from Wardlow to Bixby

2nd Thursday of the month pick up Atlantic from Wardlow to the 405 freeway

3rd Thursday of the month pick up Wardlow from Atlantic to Orange

4th Thursday of the month pick up Wardlow from Atlantic to the 405 freeway

5th Thursday of the month (when applicable) to be announced. Check here for details.

Downtown Beach Clean Up – Dec 10

We meet every 2nd Saturday of the month at the beach front parking lot on Junipero Ave or at our newly added location at the corner of Shoreline Drive and Alamitos.

Each time we have great prizes for you to win and The Pike Bar & Grill invites every helping hand to a free lunch!*

Supplies and refreshments are on us, but in order not to add more trash into the environment we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottles and plastic bags–such as grocery bags.

Earn student credit!

*First come, first serve!
